WORKSHOP: CV and Job Interview Skills development

WORKSHOP: CV and Job Interview Skills development

As we know, oil and gas industry is going through a continuous evolution worldwide every day. That´s why the oil companies are looking for no conventional professional profiles in a recruiting process, currently they want people with different skills to work in this hard stage of industry.

We think that a workshop about how to develop and improve the CV writing skills and how to do a success interview job is very important to the new undergraduate students, recent graduates and young professionals in order to increase their opportunity to find a job.

1. GENERAL OBJETIVE

  • Manage the creation of a workshop about how to correctly write a CV/motivation letter and how to successfully do a job interview.

2. SPECIFIC OBJETIVES

  • Evaluate the skills that companies look for in new professionals.
  • Motivate SPE Student Chapters members, recent graduates and young professionals about how to correctly write and improve a CV and a motivation letter in Spanish/English language.
  • Simulate a job interview situation between the Human Resources expert and the attendant.

3. SESSIONS

  • The workshop will consist of two conferences and  two practical sessions
  • The topic of first conference will be: “how to correctly write a CV”.
  • The topic of the second conference will be: “How to successfully do a job interview”. Once the conference is over the attendants will have the opportunity to have a little discussion with a HR representative from a company.
